Oh, there are SO many reasons, but it mostly comes down to the barrage of bullshit from That Man, the plethora of Russian bots, the lack of terminating abusive accounts (while suspending non-abusive ones for ridiculous reasons), and just the overall crap.
Twitter used to be fun, but it has become dark, angry, stressful, and, as so many empaths are finding, too much to handle. Checking in causes some to turn and run after just a few tweets in their feed.
So I'm choosing to focus on Instagram. Less stress, it's harder to spread the anger and fear (yes, you can repost, but most don't as a rule), and while I love tweeting thoughts as the day goes on, my stress level can't take the dark cloud anymore. Needing to have a picture to post when you want to say something automatically causes you to pause while taking a picture, and by the time you're done, you may no longer need/want to say what you'd planned. No dark cloud there!
I hope to see you there! I'm heartspeacehealing. :)
